Ways To Avoid Winter Weight Gain

Health And Fitness : Weight Loss

Get up when the sun comes up so you can see as much of the day light as possible. Darkness can make your appetite increase, and dissuade you for doing any exercise. Make sure you get outside for 30 mins a day, and take a walk or go for a run.

Keep a food diary so you can keep track of what you are eating and how you could cut back. Note down the times as well.

Swap your latte or hot chocolate for a cup of instant coffee or tea, in order to save calories.

Wash your hands regularly so you don’t get a cold, as you will put on weight being ill in bed, eating more food and not wanting to do any exercise. Do this before you eat as well.

Cut down on carbs, and opt for lower GI alternatives such as wholegrain bread and cereal, beans, fruit and veg.

Sip on soup to warm you up, or if you only want a small meal.

Drink enough water a day so you don’t feel as hungry or dehydrated.
