However it can seem impolite, so the victim may receive it at a time which is not the best, such as a trip to the theme park or in a business meeting. A letter is slightly more classy and respectful than a text, but at least you’re paying for a stamp and taken the effort to write it. It is quite old fashioned though. You could update your relationship status on Facebook and your ex will receive the info straight to your wall, but the down side is you could receive a nasty comment or embarrassing note on your wall for all your friends to see. Phone call is the next best option to face to face.
