Website Profits: Simplify Sales Processes

Business : Business Websites

It has been estimated that the drop off rate at each stage of the sales process is 50% purely down to having an extra click and not really due to lack of interest!

This means you should try to cut down each ordering process to the minimum steps.

If you have 100 people then only 25 will make it to step 3 even of a product they are really interested in.

If you have 100 people, 50 will make it to step 2, however.

The bottom line is that you should flatten out your sales processes. Collect the information you need but never more than you need - a big form is daunting, but a big form spread over several pages may seem less daunting but has the opposite problem of a high drop off rate rather than the huge initial hit of the massive form.
