Usually you can exercise common sense over what these items might be - generally anything that might be considered against the law is an obvious no-no. For instance, things like guns you certainly cannot sell on eBay. You also can't sell things like alcohol either. If in any doubt ask eBay a question first before listing an item - if you do list something against the rules you run the risk of being banned.
