What To Ask An IFA

Money : Money Management

If you have a meeting with an IFA to get some Independent Financial Advice, then you need to make sure that you are meeting with the right person for you.

To do this it can be useful to ask a few questions. The first recommended question to ask is to ask them who they are regulated by.

They should be registered with a suitable authority for instance the personal investment authority or similar.

Sometimes these will make you eligible for compensation schemes particularly if you are missold certain products - of course if a product just performs badly for instance something to do with shares and investments then there is nothing you can do about that it's just bad luck!
