What To Do If You Don't Get Offered The Job
Jobs : The Post Interview Process Sometimes you don't get offered the job you go for. Infact statistically there are more than two applicants for each job, so most people who go for a job won't end up getting it. Therefore when you don't get a job the first thing to do is not feel bad about it, and not beat yourself up. There are many reasons why you might not have got the job - more experience elsewhere, someone was already earmarked for the job, an internal candidate being preferred to an external one, and much more besides. So don't let it knock your confidence. What you should also do is get feedback from the company to see if you can learn from that. If the feedback is positive but there was just an exceptional candidate, then take the opportunity (if you liked the company) to ask if you can be considered for future vacancies. Many companies will admire your tenacity in asking that and you may well find you are contacted before too long when other jobs come up.
