What Was The Black Death

Education : History

This was a medieval disease, that killed a huge number of people in the mid 1300s across Europe.

It is estimated that it killed off as much as one-third of the entire population!

Black Death was the bubonic plague, and was carried by the fleas which live on black rats.

This was not known at the time, and therefore many other things were blamed, such as dirty water, bad air and sinners.
