When Do I Receive A Postal Ballot Paper?

Politics

The postal ballot for those who are voting in the general election by post may come a little later than you might think.

Infact it will come roughly a week before the election, so if there is a couple of weeks to go then don't panic, the postal vote should be on its way to you.

HOwever, if it doesn't come for whatever reason and there is only a few days to the election then you should certainly take some pro-active steps to ensure that you are still able to vote.

In order to do this you should get in toufh with the returning officer.

Also if you make a mistake whilst filling in the voting ballot paper then don't panic as you are entitled to get a replacement, but you will need to of course return the spoiled one.

Note that if you do choose to vote by post then you can't change your mind and vote in person at the polling station.
