Who Is Standing For Election In My Constituency?

If you want to know who is standing in your constituency in the UK General Election of 2010, then the easiest way is to go to the websites of the main parties and then search for your constituency and see who the MP is.

For the Conservative party, there is a list of the candidates here:

http://www.conservatives.com/People/Prospective_Parliamentary_Candidates.aspx?by=All

If you are interested in the Labour party candidates for your area, then take a look at:

http://www2.labour.org.uk/ppc

Finally for the third major party, the Liberal Democrats, you can take a look at this page:

http://www.libdems.org.uk/parliamentary_candidates.aspx?show=Candidates&pgNo=56

There may well also be a local council or local government site for your area that lists the candidates.

In addition quite a few of the major newspapers have lists in them or on their websites that go through each of the constituencies and tell you who is standing for election, so those are another useful point of reference.
