Why Most Diets Fail And How To Make Yours Work

Health And Fitness : Top Diet Foods

Most diets fail for one simple reason: we are creatures of habit, and when we do something drastically different, it is too hard to sustain it.

With most things in life it is seen to be true that the first step is the hardest: but with dieting the first step is the easiest. Doing it for one day is quite simple, the problem comes when you have to do it day in day out.

So if most diets fail because they require too much of a change from you, then don't adopt that sort of diet.

Instead adopt a much more realistic diet, one that requires less of you and therefore can possibly be maintained.

The best way to do this is to require that you need three small changes that say will each save around 100 calories. If you do that everyday then you can lose a lot of weight over the course of a year - on the above illustration just by doing that and nothing else you could save around 25 to 30lb over the course of the year - and that's before anything like exercise is taken into account!

Some small little changes can make these happen: instead of having a full fat coffee have one with skimmed milk; instead of frying things grill them; instead of having butter with your vegetables just use a little lemon juice instead or serve them dry.
