It is well known that people in these European countries tend to have a lower incidence of heart disease.

This has largely been attributed to the diet, which is heavily influenced by the following combinations:
pasta, bread, rice and vegetables, with fresh fruit too.

Therefore why not try to stick to a mediterranean diet with what you eat yourself, and you should not go far wrong.

As a rule something fresh with lots of vegetables and a staple such as pasta, bread or rice will be a good, hearty meal for you.
