Winter Proof Your Skin

Beauty : Skincare

Now that winter is setting in, you should protect your skin from the harsh weather.

If you use a light moisturizer during the summer, then its time to switch to a heavier one. If you tend to have really dry skin, then it might be worth changing your usual cleanser to a cleansing balm, like XYZ. Central heating tends to wreak havoc and dry out your skin.

Moisturise whenever your skin feels dry or sore, not just in the morning and at night.

Exfoliating will also help to keen skin clean, smooth and fresh. Use a dry flannel so that it isn’t too harsh. Your moisturizer will tend to work better if you do this on a regular basis as well, so you should see a big difference in the condition of your skin.

Heating causes the air to become dry, so if you don’t have a humidifier, a good idea would be to leave a bowl of water by your radiators to add moisture to the air.

Avoid licking your lips as this will dry them out. Use a lip balm instead.
