How To Work Abroad

Career : Career Techniques

If you want to work abroad, then you need to drop hints every now and then with your boss, or whoever controls these things.

For instance, if your company has just opened an office in Madrid, then take spanish lessons. Be sure to drop into conversation that you'd love to work in spain and are taking lessons.

It sounds simple, but this is all that it often takes. Showing an interest in travel and other cultures will mean that when a trip abroad comes up, you will be top of the list.

Remember that whilst you love travel and see it as a perk many others are set in their ways and love their creature comforts so travel in a business capacity is not what they are after at all.
