How To Write About Poetry
| Education : English Often in exams you will be given a piece of poetry to comment on. You should write about the: IMAGERY and SYMBOLISM used Discuss in detail, not at face value. Example: an eagle may not mean just the bird but represent power, grace and freedom Also, the FORM and STRUCTURE of the poem Is rhyming important? What grammatical structures are used? Alliteration?
