| Business : Marketing The first step to writing a good advert in business, or indeed any walk of life, is to know what it is that you want to communicate. If you haven't first put good time into working out what it is that you want to say and communicate then it is a bit like driving somewhere without having decided where you want to go - it is pointless and there are no guidelines to tell you if you are getting close to your target or not. Therefore be sure that you do put the time in up front to decide what you want to get out of the advert, what the purpose of the marketing material is going to be ultimately.
