Writing And Setting Targets
Hobbies : Writing Humans are naturally goal orientated. That means that we respond well to targets. And without targets we can just drift and be less productive. Writing is quite like this - we need to set ourselves targets to keep us on target and on track, even if these are self imposed targets which they usually are. So what targets to set yourself as a writer? Well, as a rule aim for around 1,000 words written in each writing session. If you only write a few hundred then things will turn out stop-start and jerky. However if you get 2,000 or so out then that's great, but this is difficult to do on a consistent basis and you can end up rambling or feeling resentment and end up just making up words to fill the 2,000 limit and degrading the quality of your work as a result.
