How to clean a cooker

I've inherited a gas cooker hob on which the pan rests are badly marked with alot of old cooking stains and am having trouble cleaning in the corners any hints gratefully received

Try this ,half a glass of viniger + 1/4 glass of lemon juice mix and add some warm water . dip sponge into and try rubbing the stains off..
