I know exactly how you feel- i used clearasil scrub once and the next morning my face was bright red, swollen to twice its usual size and had hard lumps all over it- and the spots were still there!! What I usually do now though is try and get rid of the spots from within by drinking lots of water, doing lots of exercise and GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP, and moisturise every day with really gentle stuff like aqueous cream which is about 99p for a huge tub from the chemists - nivea intensive moisturing cream is awesome. Then use teeny amounts of toothpaste or oxy emergency zit blitz gel etc right on top of the spot, then leave them to dry completely so they don't spread and dry out your skin. Lastly do not wear foundation. I stopped wearing it and for a few days my skin looked awful, but after that it cleared up amazingly. Use loose powder or concealer is you really have to. Hope that helped!!
