Effective Acne Lotion

ive had like acne before and ths doctors gave me this lotion and it was amazing. but now its been over a year and im not spotty enough to get the lotion again, but im coming up really bad again and was wondering how to get rid of them? i saw lots of people saying sudacrem and toothpaste, how exactly do you use them? thanks babe :)
