How to heal a piercing

I recently took out my piercing for the first time after having it in for two years. I got bored with it and want it to heal back up. Is there any cream you would recommend I use in order to minimize the semblance of a hole or scar in its place and make it heal as cleanly as possible? I've heard Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter, while good for scars, are useless as an open piercing is not scar tissue. So I'm clueless -- any suggestions would be welcome.

I wouldn't recommend using anything, just leave it to heal by itself
