Modelling: pay for the photoshoot or not?
Hi There,
I have recently entered my daughters onto a couple of modelling agencies which i were charged a rate for the photo shoots which resulted in them being accepted but am confused as to why the girls are quite often refused by agencies who do not charge anything upfront for these shoots or to be entered into the model book, i am wondering if the agencies who do not charge are being honest with me and not wasting my time or money as they have stated that the girls are not suitable for there clients. Please would you fill me in on how the industries in question operate and i do hope to hear fom you soon.
Thankyou for your time!

Hi
I had to pay for my daughters shots and she's had 2 jobs in 4 months - which have paid for the photo's.
Best to ring up Asda, Mothercare, M&S etc and ask which agencies they use to be sure they are genuine - avoid Models Direct like the plague though - they are definately dodgy!!!.

Usually agencies that charge money are less likely to get you jobs. Why? Because they already have money from you.
Agencies that don't charge up front get money from getting clients jobs, therefore these are the best ones to join up with.
