It may sound drastic but it worked for me!I used 1 part bleach,10 parts water and a quarter of a cup of washing powder.A friend of mine gave me this advice and I thought it was drastic and might ruin my carpet but it did not at all.I had to do it 3 times but it honestly does work.

Any sort of mild bleaching agent should do the trick for tough stains like this.

Simone's solution didn't work for me. In fact, the dried-in Ribena stain on my cream, wool carpet partially went into solution and spread. After 4 attempts, the stain was more visible than when I started. I found Chemspec on the web and phoned them. Chemspec were very helpful and recommended Help-Mate 2 part spotting kit. The kit instructions say to wash the stain area when the solution has dried overnight but the MD recommended using the heat transfer method and I did that. Amazing....the stain vanished after just 1 application.
