If you want to get a leaner body, then you need to reduce the percentage of your body that is fat (body fat).
First of all, get your benchmark - work out your current % body fat.
Undertake some basic strength training - focussing on the big muscle groups - this need not be done through an expensive gym but you can use little or no equipment via exercises in the home.
By undertaking exercise and using up more calories than you take in, over time you will be able to reduce the percentage of body fat in your body and hence get a leaner body.
