|Self Development : Happiness|
Happiness is very hard to define, and is always really up to the individual. It depends on our own goals, expectations and environment and state of mind at the time.
However, one common reason that people are unhappy is due to not being busy, and therefore having too much time to mull things over.
Busy people, the cliche says, don't have time to be unhappy. But there is truth in this. If you have ever been really unhappy you will know that work can actually be a great distraction and keep you sane.
So, if you want to be happier and are currently unoccupied, then get busy. This could be anything - a new pet project, some DIY around the home, learning a new language, learning how to use the computer better - anything that is relevant to you, your life and where you are right now.
If you are also looking for confidence, try taking up a new team sport or a martial art.
