How To Prepare For A Marathon

You need to train for a fair period for a marathon - around about 6 to 12 months so it is a year long commitment and not just one that lasts a few weeks beforehand!

The best tip is to join running clubs or a local organisation that can help you with your training and will have others to train with. This is really useful to ensure that you train right and have the motivation to follow through on the marathon training.

Get some good marathon running shoes too this is so important and will save blisters and more.

Use a good stopwatch to pace yourself and remember to stretch well before the run and after, this will really help.
