Can you explain the moon is formed ?

No-one knows for sure how the moon was formed.

However a theory that is very popular and most people believe true is that early in the earths history a large proto-planet, another planet in formation, smashed into earth and a large piece of rock from earth and the proto planet got pushed into space, coalescing as the earths moon.
