Hi

I have a product that we use that has estimated annual savings. We know the annual cost of the product. I tried to calculate the return on investment (in days) to see how quickly it paid for itself and was shocked with the answer. I think it's right but would like to check I have the right calculation.

Cost annually

Savings annually

To produce ROI in days

Thanks

Calculating Return On Investment

The basic Return on Investment can be found by dividing a company’s net profit (also called net earnings) by the total investment (total debt plus total equity), and multiplying by 100 to arrive at a percentage:

Net profit / total investment × 100 = Return on Investment
So if net profit is $30 and the total invested is $250, the Return on Investment is:

30 / 250 = 0.12 × 100 = 12%

i hope this helps !
