Defrosting food quickly

When it comes to defrosting food, many things say to leave them out in the air to defrost naturally over a fair period of time.

However if in a hurry then remember that you can use a microwave to safely defrost most foods.

Many have a special setting for defrost but if not just put on a low power and give a blast for the appropriate amount of time to defrost them quicker, so you can then save time whilst cooking.

Simple but effective tip - use the microwave to defrost!

Shoving it in the microwave works great.

Really useful for warming up the cup of tea that has gone a bit cold, too!
