Dos Commands

Does anyone know the command used in Dos to view only .EXE files.

Also need the command that gives help on Version
command,(XP ONLY).

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to recursively look for them. You can do "dir *.exe" at each level to find them...
dir *.exe
dir **.exe
dir ***.exe
...etc.

This is probably a dumb comment (sorry) but when I want to look for a type of file I just use the search facility within windows explorer and then type *.exe say on the C drive and then this will show up all the files of that type.
