Effect of gravitational force on mass

Mass of any object reduces at height corresponding to mass equivalent to mgh.
It means when an object falls from height "h", it will release energy eqivalent to "mgh" and at the same its mass on ground will increase by mgh/(c)2. Does this voilates law of conservation of energy?

It is not mass that decreases with height it is weight. Mass always remains constant. As height increases its PE increases and when it is release frm that height due to gravitational force it falls, means whatever PE stored is now converted into KE due to its falling velocity and due to resistance frm earths atmosphere it is mostly converted into heat energy.
Remember mass always remains constant and if it is converted,it will convert into other form of energy. So,Energy remains costant, this is what law of conservation of energy says.

U must know that mass always remain constant in universe .it is the weight which get change according to he change in the position of the object with respect to the centre of the earth.
weight - it is defined as the force by which an object get attracted towards the earth. which is given by the equation "mgh" where m,g,h stands for the mass, gravitational constant and height above which the object is kept.
