Get on Britain's Got Talent

Has anyone here ever auditioned for britains got talent or xfactor?

One of my friends is wanting to do it this year but wants to know what to expect.

I said that there are probably massive queues and that you then get seen for around 30 seconds or something, I also don't think that the majority of people even get to perform in front of the judges and just sing to someone who works behind the scenes on the TV show but does anyone know for real what the audition for britain's got talent or the x-factor is really like???

I have a friend who auditioned for this last year.

Basically it was a complete waste of time, they spent absolutely AGES running a camera all over them having to wave at it, and squashing them all together to get the shots and having to make the x symbol with their arms.

Then Dermot O'Leary appeared for a few minutes and did some links whilst they had to cheer and so on behind him.

Then when they were totally knackered from all that rubbish they went inside, queued for ever, than sang to some kid with a clipboard for about 30 secs before being told to go home.

So a total waste of time and money but there are still lots of people who will go through it because they are that desperate for their five minutes of fame and the production companies know this so can get people on these shows to do pretty much anything they want such is the power they have over those who crave the fame so badly.

If you have real talent then of course you don't go on shows like that... is that a fair thing to say or do you think that those shows do discover people with real talent?!
