Getting better at squash

IF you want to get better at a lot of sports then you need to play with other people really as they are group sports.

THe good thing about squash is that to some extent you can get better at it on your own!

So all you need to do is book a court and do some practice drills on your own.

These don't need to be anything too complicated; for instance just hitting against the wall on one wing then switching to the other, but if you do it for half an hour a couple of times a week then you will notice the difference when it comes to playing a match.

Yes that's true - playing squash on your own is also a great way to get fit because it is really very tiring indeed.

I reckon that you must burn many hundreds of calories by playing squash with yourself for say half an hour or perhaps 45 minutes.

That's what makes squash a fun game - even when your friend cancels on you at the last minute you aren't stranded like in something like tennis but instead at least you have have a practice session yourself!

Squash sounds a little bit too tiring for me, all that hard work running all over the place and making those short sprints no thanks!

However it is probably a good sport but there is also no money in it as you can't really watch it on tv can you.
