Help please, this is urgent.

I need help now, my dog Buckshot, who is a black lab, is acting weird, we came home from fishing yesterday, after a while my dad let him outside, our yard is fenced in, and later when my dad let him in he was acting all weird, he kind of limps somewhat and he acts like he is scared we will hit him, we have never beat him or abused him, but he keeps cowering when we try to pet him, he keeps staring into the one corner of our kitchen, he walked sideways to me yesterday, it was only a few steps but i am worried, and this morning i woke up because he was whining really bad then started barking but he was whining for almost two minutes straight non-stop. Please give any advice you have because we can not afford to bring him in to see the vet. thanky you so much for your time and effort.

I forgot to mention that he is panting a lot almost like he just got through with running a lot.
