Political Correctness is a term used to describe language, ideas, policies, or behavior seen as seeking to minimize offense to ethnic, cultural, or other identity groups. Conversely, the term politically incorrect is used to refer to language or ideas that may cause offense or that are unconstrained by orthodoxy.

Politically correct, its madness, years ago u could call a female manager a manageress,! wot the hell is wrong with that! Its just discriptive, if they couldn't be discriptive in crime watch, there wouldn't b a crimewatch! & about being offended, I read in the paper 2day, that a polish pub in westonsuper mare has a sign in the window, saying "no English".

It's a good idea, but like so many good ideas, the execution is stupid and there is no sense.

For instance some places can't use the word Christmas in case it offends others.

Well what about the millions it offends by not being able to call it Christmas in the first place?

Not wanting to offend people is right and a noble aim, but the actual implementation of the idea is stupid in my opinion, in Britain at least.
