Im Confused.

Ive wanted to be a model ever since my eating disorder that I had when I was younger, which sounds kind of weird soon as my eating disorder was due to lack of confidence, but my family, friends and horse really helped. I joined up with Models Direct And Diesel Models, i found out diesel models was a scam thanks to the internet, but im 89.9% sure that Models Direct isn't. My mum spoke to one of the people that work there, and I was put through to the national selection panel. Then I got an email saying that I'd got through. My mum has to pay 75 pound now, but I don't want her to pay anything in case it's a scam. Can anyone tell me if it is or not?

Hello Hollie0x,

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE READ ALBA modelling watch dog.

http://www.albamodel.info/namedandshamed.php

You'll see the REALLY bad press about models direct. I'm a pro model and have been on the cover of LOTS of mags AFTER I paid them £75 for doing absolutely NOTHING. I did it allmyslef and have only just gone onto an agent. I joined Models Direct 6 years ago and heard NOTHING. I wasted my money and never looked back. I'd never recommend you pay ANY fee upfront. It's a well-known thing in the modelling world to not ay any cash to anybody. There's plenty of agencies you can join through Alba. Go through the list and you may be accepted. DON'T PAY ANYBODY FIRST!!! GOLDEN RULE DARLING! £75 buys an awful lot of clothes, even £40 with me gived you a WHOLE modelling portfolio! Cheap advertisement there, I know! DON'T PAY THEM! xxx

hello

Kaycee is right, I've heard alot of bad stuff about them too. You shouldnt have to pay anyone. If you are looking for a foot in the right direction try this;

I didn't bother with models direct. Instead I'm with someone that's really helped me, and I've had quite a few jobs from it. Thanks for your help btw.
