Ive had money put into my account .

Ive had quite a few houndred pounds put into my account by an old loan company that i paid off in full in dec 08 they have not rung me or writen to me to ask for it back, is there any laws on keeping it and if so how long do they have to forget it for before its void, not that i am dis honest just a bit sore from the hastle i had just trying to pay it back and the most rude manager i have ever spoken to on the phone!!!

Well, if they ever notice that you have the money, then they will ask you to pay it back if it is not rightfully yours.

Therefore if you decide not to declare it to them actively then at least don't spend it but rather put it in savings so if they notice you can pay it back.

Or you might decide to let them know, it could be they let you keep a small amount for being honest anyway!
