Logic

Is logic the answer to everthing? If it is, then how can it explain our existence, because logically we are not supposed to exist (in mind or matter). Logically you cannot get something from nothing. So can logic answer every question?

No logic is not

Logic is not the answer to anything, rather logical thinking is a methodology for trying to work out likely results and consequences.

There is deductive logic, where the conclusion necessary follows from the consequences. This is seen in maths and other abstract situations, but rarely in the real world.

In the real world the best we can do is think inductively - the fact that the sun has risen every day so far means it is rational to expect it to rise again tomorrow.

Logic can help us spot patterns work out what will happen if we do x in certain circumstances. Logic itself does not answer questions - logic cannot tell us how many stars in the sky, what is dark matter, how particles have mass, BUT we can use logical methods and thinking to help us work through questions and help us come nearer to the truth.

I agree with much of your theory on logic.Some may call it common sense.As for logic arriving at the truth,I would ask whose truth? Your truth,my truth, George Bushes truth,or is it Gods truth you refer to??

iv got the biggest problim eva i cnt decide between two boys..one has blond hair and the other is my cousin..i know its wrong but i really tink i love him hes lik my soulmate r sumfin..we talk about evrythin and laugh and play together at weekends but the blond boy is in my class and were gonna go to the same secondary school..i can see us being happy but i cant get douglas(cousin) out of my head..should i tell him????
plz help me pets am i the only torn heart out there?is there any logic in this world?situation
