There are all sorts of way to make money from your hobby.
Once you build a collection, the most obvious way is to try and sell some of your collection.
If you collect stamps for instance, then you can try selling some of your stamp collection.
If you have expert knowledge, then you can try selling that knowledge to others.
For instance, if you know everything there is to know about antique furniture then you can sub-contract your services to others to help them work out what their precious furniture is worth or help people out by offering a cheap valulation service and so on.
The possible methods are really only limited by your imagination.
A common thing many people do these days is to open up an ebay shop and try to sell their wares through that.
