HI can anyone tell me why all of a sudden mushrooms have started to sprout up all over my lawn and how can I get rid of them?

Regards

Mark

To get rid of your mushrooms, you'd have to remove all the dirt that contains either roots or spores.

I have just had new turf laid in both my gardens and now mushrooms are all over it. I contacted the gardener who has suggested a fungicide treatment will this get rid of them for good? The new turf was laid over the old grass with topsoil in between.

Mushrooms are strange things. Because of the way they spread with spores loads of them can suddenly appear randomly in one year, then when they go maybe not come back for a while.

I think a fungicide is needed to get rid of them I don't think that simply taking them out of the ground will necessarily work because of the spores. Also remember not to eat them as they could be poisonous ones!
