A guitar string 60.0 cm in length, with a diameter of 1.40 mm and a tension of 289N, emits a note with a frequency of 147 Hz. Find the frequency in each of the following situations.

a) The string is shortened by pressing on a fret halfway along the string.

b) The tension is reduced to 196N.

c) A string of the same material, 45.0 cm long an 1.00 mm in diameter under 169N of tension, is plucked.

d) The string produces the third harmonic of the 147 Hz fundamental.

e) The string emits the third overtone of its 147 Hz fundamental.

Is there a term for the three dimensional effect of being in the centre of a sphere and needing to look at 360° all round? 360° only seems to cover 2 dimensions.

1)A straight segment of a wire of lenght L lying along x-axis carries a current i . Derive a relatioship for calculating the magnetic field associated with the segment at the point P at a perpendicular distance D from the right end of the wire certain region there is a uniform current density of 15A/m2 in the +z direction . what is the value of integration B.ds when the line integral is taken along the three straight-line segments from (4d,0,0) to (4d,3d,0) to (0,0,0) to (4d,0,0) where d=23cm?

We notice that when a lift moves , the weight measured in the weighing machine , changes . Why is it so ? Please give me the answer to this question .

when will the earth end?

I have a pretty good background in math and physics, but astronomy still has me stumped. I am trying to determine what are the parameters for stability for a moon (or several) in orbit around a planet - Is there a formula I could use? Thanks for any assistance!
