Could anyone please advise me on the equipment needed, & type of gas, to solder a few joints in copper pipe when refurbishing a utility/shower room,.

Hi

Butane is the best gas to use as it burns hotter but requires less application. You can buy them a the pipeline centre and the torches from screwfix. I would use lead free solder but you could use the solderless yorkshire fitting, don\'t forget the flux
