Raking up leaves the easy way

It can be very hard work to gather leaves or something else that is spread out in the garden - perhaps catkins or something else like a seed or nut that has dropped from trees.

Probably the most tiring bit of all is bending down and picking it all up, and putting it in bags and so on.

However there is a simple way around this. Rather than pick them up at the end, put down some large sheet in the middle of the garden before starting, then rake everything that you want to collect up onto that sheet.

Then at the end just pick up the sheet and then deposit the leaves where you want them, easy!

Hey that's a really good idea Artiste - never thought of that.

I'll try that tip later on in the year when all the leaves are falling and will thank you when I don't put my back out
