Really need some advice

Hi. I have recently contacted a photographer regarding some modeling work and he has since taken some photos to be placed in my portfolio and i have now been sent a contract. However, my parents where a bit concerned so i did a bit of research of my own. I contacted Companies House in London and found out that the 2 company names he is using are not valid. 1 of them he was the registered director of but it has been resolved and he should not be trading under that name anymore and the other name is registered as a laber requritment agency which he is not the director of and hasn't got his name within any of the company info.

As you can imagine I'm now very concerned I dont know what to do because he has my photos and i dont want him to use them but i also dont want to sign something that could be 'dodgy'. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? What should i do next?

All I can suggest is that you be careful!

It is a good thing to research agencies in advance and find out if they are legitimate or not. If you decide that the one you are dealing with is not legitimate, then stop contact.

Certainly if ever in doubt about contracts or legal paperwork always get them checked over by a solicitor or lawyer first.

Hey vicky, my advice.. forget it, you should go with a reputable agency, and you shouldnt pay money.. just send some pictures to one of the good ones and if they like you they will contract you in for free, probably a couple of years, then all you do is wait for jobs and money lol :p

I found a good one, i posted about it, here:

Put your pictures on some websites and get people's opinions that way.

I put mine onto fame4anyone.com and then on the forum in that website asked for people's opinions on my pics. i got some good responses that way and decided to try and get into modelling more because i got good feedback from people!
