Shocked Quartz

From what I understand, shocked quartz is associated primarily with meteor impacts and nuclear detonations. Is there a way to distinguish the formation source just by analyzing the quartz? It seems the mechanisms are similiar: high heat and pressure, short duration.
For instance, if someone went to the Bikini islands 700 years from now, could they tell what created the shocked quartz at that site. I'll be really embarrassed if the answer is radioactivity.

Thanks
