I need help with this question for my Philosophy Class. Any help would be appreciated. This is the first time I have ever taken this course and it is confusing.

Thanks.

Describe the historical developments of both traditional and modern ethics. What is the connection between the two developments?

stupid question

Sounds like a bit of a stupid question, ethics is ethics?

Presumably traditional ethics means ones that are based on religion so what is good is what God says is good or what is recommended by the Bible etc

All I can think it means by 'modern ethics' is ethics that is not to do with religion but just on what society in general or laws thinks, though the two are pretty interlinked.

Get the teacher to explain what they mean by both of these :S
