A man works out that his car travels 8 miles for every litre of petrol used.A gallon of petrol is roughly equal to 4 1/2 litres . how many miles does his car travel for every gallon of petrol used ?

4.5 x 8 is the answer to this one I think.

So that would be 36 miles.
