| Self Development : Success There is nothing better than experience and a wise head to help you to achieve success. For this reason having a mentor can be invaluable. This is someone who has a lot of experience and that you trust fully and can talk to in confidence and with good mutual respect. If there is an obvious candidate for someone to play this role in your life then approach them and ask. They may well be flattered and more than happy to give you their time occassionally. It is well known in sport that to achieve success you need a trainer or coach, someone independent to push you and help you reach your goals - it is much harder to do it on your own. The same is true in achieving personal goals, if there is someone that can help guide and motivate you to achieve your goals then you are more likely to stick to it and try and achieve them.
