Car Buying: What As-is Means

As is means simply that - you buy the car as it is.

This means that there is no warranty applied to the car, and therefore if you need to get it repaired at any stage then you will need to pay for them.

Therefore it is important that you remember this fact when making a purchase and factor into the price you are prepared to pay, as inherently the risk is larger.

Note that in some US states, it is not actually permissible to sell some used cars 'as is'.
