How To Choose A Blusher
Beauty : Cosmetics The best way to find out what colour is right for you is to go to a department store or chemist with a makeup counter, and have one of the staff work out your skin tone - they are specially trained for this and will help you find the right shade. An easy mistake to make when choosing one yourself is to just opt for the colour that looks nice when sitting in the case - but this is no use, the point of a blusher is to complement your colouring and give some colour to your complexion. A rough guide however, is to find a shade which matches your complexion after exercise. This will make it look more natural and take away from the artificial, painted on look. If you have a fair complexion, then your blusher does not need to be too dark, whereas if you have a dark complexion then you are more likely to suit burgundy and darker shades than coral and pink. You can also try and get one that complements your normal lipstick colour, so if it is pink then get one with similar shades. You do not need to be too heavy handed when applying blusher, as this will only lead to a clown effect, especially during the day. You might want to apply it a little heavier for going out.
