How To Create Good Looking Printable Pages

Computing : Web Sites

If you are creating a printable version of your site, then here are a few tips for you.

First, be sure to set point sizes rather than pixel sizes for the stylesheet.

Remember to set the media type as print in the stylesheet declaration, e.g. media="print" to your stylesheet declaration.

As a final tip, use this combination of fonts for a good looking and clear print version:

- Garamond for the text within the page (so called 'body copy') and use Arial for headings and sub-headings.

The result is simple, but easy for the eye to read - exactly what you are looking for!
